I'm just a self taught patient hobbyist person.

I've always been interested in drawing, sculpting and painting since I was 2 years old.

I started drawing and developing my own style of ballpoint pen drawing back when I was in school, in simple classroom sketches in the back of my exercise books. I never imagined there were so many brilliantly masterful ballpoint artists out there.

Ballpoint pen is not my only medium, it's just the one I'm currently trying to master. At this point in my life I'm fairly proficient with chalk, pencil, color pencil, pastels, oils and acrylics. Maybe one day I'll create an account just to share those.

I'm just glad to be here, I want to learn a lot, see a lot, and enjoy to its fullest what other fellow artists have to share.

It takes me forever to do my works. The only thing that makes me keep going is my love for what I do and the ambition to go further and further.

Ballpoint pens are as underestimated as they are a powerful medium.
A ballpoint pen is just another art tool. A tool is only as powerful as the Artist who uses it.

It's not about what you use, it's about how you use it.

Thanks. Preserve them with really good humidity/airtight frames and a UV glass. They will last hundreds of years if treated well. No medium in the world is 100% archival. So called 'archival' mediums are the tougher than usual mediums, but all are subject to degradation. All paints, all pigments, everything with color in it, will eventually fade away with the passing of time. All drawings and paintings ever made. It is just the nature of art I guess. How it is. I am happy to think that artworks outlast their creators and even their creator's grandchildren's grandchildren if properly cared for.

Right on. Thanks for getting back to me! Yes, I suppose nothing lasts forever, but thanks for passing on some info on how to make them last longer!

This is simply stunning work. I saw one of your red heads on The Best of DeviantArt fb page. I just gotta ask. What kind of ballpoint pens are these? Are you mixing primary colors manually or are there actually a variety of colors available for ballpoint pens? Anyways, you have such tremendous skill. I bet these works are all at least somewhere in the 60-70 hour range, right?

They are everyday school/office ballpoints. The ink dries instantly, so no mixing. however each layer is translucent and with enough mental exercise you can figure out ways of layering the right colors to create the illusion of others. 70? For most yes. Some works can reach 400 hours. I have 8 colors, but I know there are sets of 12 out there.

By practising non stop until you get there. Everything else is secondary. :)
