I'm just a self taught patient hobbyist person.

I've always been interested in drawing, sculpting and painting since I was 2 years old.

I started drawing and developing my own style of ballpoint pen drawing back when I was in school, in simple classroom sketches in the back of my exercise books. I never imagined there were so many brilliantly masterful ballpoint artists out there.

Ballpoint pen is not my only medium, it's just the one I'm currently trying to master. At this point in my life I'm fairly proficient with chalk, pencil, color pencil, pastels, oils and acrylics. Maybe one day I'll create an account just to share those.

I'm just glad to be here, I want to learn a lot, see a lot, and enjoy to its fullest what other fellow artists have to share.

It takes me forever to do my works. The only thing that makes me keep going is my love for what I do and the ambition to go further and further.

Ballpoint pens are as underestimated as they are a powerful medium.
A ballpoint pen is just another art tool. A tool is only as powerful as the Artist who uses it.

It's not about what you use, it's about how you use it.

Terribly sorry but I think someone has stolen the picture 'Angry tiger-ballpoint pen'. I had  Favorited both becuase they looked very alike and when i compared the two pictures the stripes had the exact same design. You can see it in my faves OR  the authors name is
7-year-bycht. If you gave her/him permission then okay but I just wanted to let you know.

It's ok. She just used the same photo as a reference and did another rendition with another medium. That is allowed, provided you have authorization from the photographer, which I do.

Hi, your art is absolutely stunning! You're an inspiration :)
But i have a question:
Being a ballpoint pen user myself, when i'm doing lots of quick strokes, the pen tends to "blot" or the ink becomes sticky, thicker and creates a hideous smudge if i were to run my hand over it. I was wondering if this ever happens to you and how you fix it? Is it because of the pen I am using?

Thanks-you!!!
Veronica.

Hi I use Bic pens and they form less blobs. But they still do, so I clean my pen once a minute. There is no other way around that.

Hi there, Samuel!  I just dropped by to say (and I'm pretty sure you hear or read this all the time, but what the hell?) that I'm a big fan of your works, and your pieces are basically one of the reasons why I started doing ballpoint pen art last year. So keep those ballpoints busy and continue amazing and inspiring people!  Wishing you all the best. :D

Your work is phenomenal Samuel.  I have question. I'm surprised with the white, is there an opaque white ink that I'm unaware of or are you preserving the white of the paper or surface your work is done on? If so, what method do you use to preserve the white .
Amazed fellow artist.
