The Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) is a tiger subspecies that inhabits the Indonesian island of Sumatra and has been classified as critically endangered by IUCN in 2008. I always wanted to draw a tiger, I love felines and decided to draw my first tiger ever, i hope you like it. This one is wild, that's why i love it. Big felines are not meant for zoos.
Took aprox. 20 hours to finish.
The original size is about 90% of an A4 paper sheet (Letter size in USA).
Simply fabulous. I have never seen a better portrait of an animal before. The fact that it was made only using paper and pen makes it all the more fantastic. It's overwhelming! The colors are natural, fabulous and the textures are just explosive! It it just seems like you have drawn it hair by hair. And those eyes, they are totally off the charts. They just blew me away. The detail of the nose and snout is impeccable. And those whiskers, too. They are simply spectacular! Indeed, I mistook this for a picture of a real tiger! Keep it up!
When I first saw this I thought it was a photograph. This is absolutely stunning. The fur looks real and perfect. I had no idea ball point pens came in different colors! XD I love all the little details and how you made it blurry beyond the head. (no small feat considering your using a ball point pen!) The eyes look real, I feel as though this tiger is really looking at me, or off in a slightly elevated direction. This tiger drawing breathes and sees, sounds weird but true, it’s that real. I love this drawing, one of the best I've ever seen.
